Launching a coin
You can launch a coin on Robinhood Chain today, on Pons. What is not live yet is the part that makes it a Polypair coin: pairing it to one side of a prediction market and paying a pot to whoever was right.
What a Polypair launch will add
- 01
Pick a market and a side
You choose a live Polymarket market and one of its two outcomes. That outcome becomes the asset your coin trades against, so holding the coin is a position on that side being right.
- 02
The outcome is mirrored on chain
One side of the market is wrapped into a mirror ticket on Robinhood Chain: worth one dollar if that side wins, nothing if it does not. The coin is quoted in that ticket instead of in a stablecoin.
- 03
The coin trades on a bonding curve
Same curve shape the launchpad already uses. When enough is raised, the liquidity moves into a pool and is locked, and the coin keeps trading there.
- 04
Holders stake on a side
Staking locks your coins for the cycle and commits them to one outcome. This is what decides who the pot pays.
- 05
The market resolves and the cycle settles
The resolution is relayed on chain with a bond behind it and a challenge window. Once it settles, the pot pays out and the coin re-pairs onto the next bet.
Where the fees go
Every trade pays 1 %, split four ways and always the same way. A coin nobody trades distributes nothing.
- 40%
Liquidity
Compounded into the coin's locked pool, so the book gets deeper as it trades.
- 35%
Pot
Held as tickets. It pays out when the cycle settles, or buys back and burns.
- 15%
Creator
Vests over 30 days from launch.
- 10%
Protocol
Runs the thing.
How the pot pays
The side that was right shares it
Stakers on the winning outcome split the pot in proportion to what they staked and how long it was locked.
The losing side is not wiped out
If the coin's own side loses, an insurance reserve goes to the people who backed the other one. The coin survives the cycle either way.
Or it buys back and burns
A creator can set the coin to spend its pot buying its own supply back and burning it, instead of paying stakers.
Where this is
The Polypair contracts are written and tested. The remediation from the internal review has to land before they hold real money, so the pairing, the pot and the resolution relay are not live yet. Launching a plain coin on Pons works today and needs none of them.
